摘要

Some lighting customs are a little baffling. Quite a lot are explained simply by the somewhat chance nature of the lighting systems that people actually have. If, for the sake of argument, the first pen on the left in the building was full of buildingmaterials when the electrician turned up, the light switch went on the right. If the mains supply came in one end, the switches were put at that end. It may - or may not - be any different these days, but whatever was done, was years ago. Lighting systems are not very often changed. People tend to work around what they've got, whatever that is, and develop whatever habits they get.
