The election of 2010 brought a famlHar face back to Congress. After serving the 2nd District of New Mexico from 2002 to 2008, Representative Steve Pearce left Congress to run for the Senate seat vacated by the retirement of longtime New Mexican Pete Domenici. Although his bid was unsuccessful, Pearce felt the pull to keep fighting for New Mexico, so he ran again for his former seat and returned to the U.S. House of Representatives.
