Wastewater recycling concept for an urban multi-storey building

An innovative system for blackwater recycling is described. An existing building comprising of 32 flats built in 1962 was renovated and equipped with vacuum toilets to collect blackwater separately. The energy and water consumption was determined. The flushing water consumption decreased from 40 l/p/d to 9 l/p/d. [References: 9]
