CELEBRATING its 30th anniversary this year, the Polo has been revised for 2005 with facelifted bodywork and two new engine options. The bodily changes are a little more than a revised grille and rear lights, though. In fact, the car is 19 mm longer and 2 mm taller than before, and the wheelbase is increased by 5 mm, to 2465 mm. Volkswagen points out that the Polo is now larger than the Mk 1 Golf, showing just how much the model range has grown over the years.
