Experience from operation of supercritical power stations in the ELSAM area will be addressed. Furthermore, two new units with ultra-supercritical (USC) steam parameters will be presented with focus on experience from commissioning and earlyoperation. Finally, a joint European development with support from the EU THERMIE programme for coal-fired power plant operating at steam temperatures in the range of 700℃ and with nickel based super alloys for the honest areas will be presented.
