A methodology, by which an 'ideal power station park' can be calculated for supply undertakings with self-generation, is presented in this paper. By this, it is to be understood the cost-optimised mixing of available and new types of power station taking into consideration different sources of primary energy. The important results of this calculation are residual operating periods of the available plants which are meaningful from the point of view of costs and the optimised development planning ofthe power station 'park' associated therewith, determination of nominal and/or cash-value expenditure in the years of the period under consideration and also the quantities of fuel required as an aid to longer term fuel planning.
