The scope of Lake of Isles, the new golf project for Foxwoods Resort and Casino is commensurate with the size of the resort itself--a massive com-plex that erupts from the underbrush in the southeast corner of imal Connecticut. "The first time I saw the property, I honestly was taken back by the general size of it," says Curtis Tyrrell, director of agronomy at lake of Isles, a two-course layout currently under construction. Thoughts ran through my mind like, 'This is the biggest project I've ever seen in my life,' and I was a little overwhelmed and nervous about all that was going on Thirty-six holes at once is a lot to ask--I'd never encountered that before, and the property was so big it was hard to gauge where I was standing and where everythingeise was at."
