In the production of welded tubes there is no doubt about the advantages of CAD/ CAM software for the layout of tube mill rolls or roll form tooling. However, there is a question over whether the actual geometry meets the original design. Even a minor deviation from the original roll contour may result in faulty tubes or profiles. Extensive research has shown that a major part of the tube's properties is defined in the roll forming and calibration process on the tube mill. data M Software's Copra~R RollScanner is designed to achieve this respective data.
