MIKHAIL ZINOV'EVICH ERMANOK-60 YEARS OLD

Professor Mikhail Zinov'evich Ermanok died in August, 1989. He was a Dr. of Technical Sciences, one of our leading scientists in the fields of plastic deformation and pressure treatment of metals, and a recipient of the USSR State Prize. After graduating from the Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals and Gold (im. M. I. Kalinin) in 1952, Mikhail Zinov'evich began his working career in a shop producing tubes from light alloys by pressure treatment processes. In 1960, M. Z. Ermanok defended his Candidate's dissertation on the topic "Research Into Some Questions Relative to Drawing and Cold Rolling of Aluminum Alloy Tubes," under the guidance of Prof. I. L. Perlin.
