摘要

Materials have been produced from various cokes (Table 1) by the flowsheet used to produce reactor-grade graphite. Grinding coke and the charge composition provided a considerable concentration of spherical-type isotropic particles (about 20 percent for the KNPS coke) in the structure of the finished material. Blanks were pressed out, under laboratory conditions, which were 30 mm in diameter and 60 mm high using a press form at a specific pressure of 75 MPa. They were roasted in industrial furnaces at 1500 K. Grade GR reactor-grade graphite was used as the control material. For this purpose, cylinders with the indicated dimensions were drilled out from industrial grade semifinished GR blanks. Both the control and the laboratory specimens were heat treated, in a protective atmosphere in a laboratory furnace, to temperatures of 1500-3300 K.
