Green light for ITER

This month Israel reports on how the ITER fusion energy project has taken an important step forward. After long delays, run-away construction costs and an extraordinary meeting in Cadarache, Southern France, the ITER project has received the green light. The European Commission has agreed to plug the funding hole of EUR 1.4 billion for 2012 and 2013, by diverting millions in research money and other EU spending money.
