The increasing level of standardisation of systems for cryogenic gases and LNG applications require precise design of pressure relief systems. This is essential, particularly with regard to potential effects of incorrectly-designed safety valves or supply line with inadequate dimensions. When an unscheduled replacement becomes necessary due to valves with incorrect dimensions, results can be costly and catastrophic. This article outlines necessary measures for prevention.
