Traian Negrescu - 100 years since birth

The Academician Professor Dr. Eng Traian Negrescu was born in Bucharest on 3 January 1900, in an intellectual family, father a teacher, housewife mother [1]. He made the primary studies in Bucharest in the period 1907-1911 and secondary studies at the Basarab High School also in Bucharest. Graduated High School in Iasi, in 1918, being in refuge during the first War. He had begun the faculty studies at the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Iasi in 1918 and later had continued with the years II to IV at the Faculty of Mining and Metallurgy of the Polytechnic School of Bucharest. In 1922 graduated with diploma engineer in the specialty Mining and Metallurgy and became assistant professor.
