Spot market close to bursting point

With vessel day rates dropping even further during October and November, more vessels being laid up, and a seemingly never-ending supply of newbuilds entering service, it is difficult for supply vessel owners in Northwest Europe to be positive in the current climate. In releasing their quarterly results, the large majority of owners have commented that they do not foresee a change in fortunes before the end of 2009, and more significantly, for most of 2010.
