A country renowned for enjoying the finer things in life with a 'joie de vivre' would not be top of most people's list for innovation and strict government policies - yet where transport is concerned France pulls out all the stops. Not only has the country retained a great industrial capacity to produce transport equipment with PSA Peugeot Citroen, Renault SA, Renault Trucks and renowned train manufacturer, TGV, it also has some rather unpopular eco policies, which are already in place or will be implemented in the not too distant future.
