January saw ACC Climate Control Inc (ACC) of Elkhart, Indiana, USA become part of the Spheros Group (Spheros) of Gilching, Germany. Spheros stated the move was a decisive step in strengthening its local presence in North America. ACC has a research and development department, a state-of-the-art testing laboratory and a high-capacity production plant for vehicle air conditioning systems together with administration at its headquarters in Elkhart, Indiana. It also has workshops and installation teams close to the premises of North America's school bus builders in High Point, North Carolina and Byron, Georgia. The ACC infrastructure and extensive service network will support Spheros's goal to become a reliable and innovative HVAC partner for the whole bus industry in North America.
