摘要

In this paper, Al2O3-Cr2O3 composite coating was fabricated by plasma spraying. It has better mechanical performances than Al2O3 coating. Erosion-wear resistance of the coatings was evaluated by a new type of solid particle impact test (slurry jet). Slurry was mixed with compressed air in the nozzle and eventually injected on coating surface at high velocity. Injected slurry on coating surface resulted in a wear progression (wear rate) proportionately to the erosion strength of the coating material. Al2O3-Cr2O3 composite coating possesses better erosion-wear resistance than pure Al2O3 coating. (C) 2015 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
