24 hours after nominations closed on 2 August, the NationalTyre Distributors Association (NTDA) has published the list of finalists for the 2016 NTDA Tyre Industry Awards. According to the association, over the last three months the NTDA has been "inundated" with submissions. As a result a total of 57 entries across the eight award categories have now made it to the final (see textbox for complete listings). COMMENTING ON THE AWARDS NTDA chief executive, Stefan Hay said: "In 2015 the directorate team was overwhelmed by the number of entries we received, but this year, it has been busier, almost like a Tsunami on the final two days. The quality of the entries is fantastic across all categories and I really don't envy the independent judging panel who I believe will have a tough time deciding on who will triumph on 6 October. I particularly like all of the entries for the Tyre Retail Centre of the Year Award and REACT Tyre Technician of the Year, which are truly exceptional and I am filled with pride to run a trade association that represents members with centres and employees of such outstanding quality."
