Premium retreads - Marangoni's new Blackline range competing with new tyre manufacturers' retreads

It wasn't so long ago that low cost imports of new tyres were pressurising the retread market. Now, slimmer price differentials between new tyres and retreads, increasing customer quality demands and the whole-life mileage benefits of a retreaded product have made the 'use and discard' mentality much less attractive. At the same time, technology has moved on and the latest generation of new tyres have brought with them a novel array of design features that maximise the mileage, minimise fuel consumption and braking performance of truck tyre products. Nobody aside from the manufacturers of these new tyres was able to produce technologically comparable retreads - until now. As well as positioning its latest retread offering right at the top of the price:performance tree, the launch of Marangoni's Blackline premium retread range brings with it premium level compounding and tread design technology. There is even talk of how such retreads would perform in a labelling scenario.
