Growing Fast in South East Asia Gajah Tunggal Keeps up with Market Demands

That fact that the Indonesian tyre manufacturer Gajah Tunggal has developed so strongly, in just a short period of time, is self-evident even from the very beginning of a tour around its Tangerang facility. Situated only an hour away from Jakarta, the Gajah Tunggal plant consists of at least five factories, all built in the same area. The site, which covers 110 hectares, is developed like a campus. Next to the radial tyre production, which occupies by far the largest area on the plant, the company also manufactures a full range of bias-ply tyres, motorcycle tyres and hoses; even colours and lacquers for paints are produced here.
