摘要

Two different surface structures (channels and ripples) were generated using a laser machining apparatus. The ripples structure differs from the channels structure by its waveform with maximum amplitude of less than 1 μm. In order to assess the exact impact of these laser-induced surface structures on their tribological properties in comparison with the benchmark system (surfaces without any structures), dry and oil-lubricated tribological investigations were carried out. These investigations have shown that the ripples-modified surfaces in combination with an anti-friction coating provide the lowest friction coefficient.
