The required activities for the ZSM-5 in the AplhOx~(TM), one-step conversion of benzene into with nitrous oxide, are investigated. It is shown that both Bronsted acidity and the #alpha#-sites, linked to the presence of iron, are necessary. Previous reports on the subject are discussed.
