It may be difficult to see how something as relatively small as an outrigger pad (or its relative, the ground protection mat) can affect the setup and safe operation of something as large as a crane, but it's a fact of physics.Conversely, and especially in the case of outrigger "feet," it may be logical to conclude that those feet are sufficient to do the job of fully stabilizing your crane, but that's not the case. Again, pure physics.
