Insect threats to southern forests

摘要

Insectsard part of the natural life cycle of trees and plants, some being important pollinators, bene-ficial predators, or decomposers/recyclers. However, some of these insects, whether native or non-native, can cause unacceptable damage to trees andthreaten both the forest and urban forest ecosystems, By employing integrated pest management, an arborist can preserve the environment and beneficial insect populations.
