The concept of water ballast is rarely seen in Aussie fibreglass boats, however, it's a great way to make a deep Vee boat more stable at rest. And that's one of the reasons the Sea Devil is considered a great boat for fishing in open ocean waters. Itcan stay on-station when other boats have to go home! Throw in some tough, industrial-strength construction and it's easy to see why Sea Devils have something of a cult-following amongst those who know these boats. For a time the Sea Devil seemed to drop off the radar but now it's made a strong comeback with young Northern Beaches (Sydney) dealer Jon Wilshire and his wife Karen buying the moulds. Jon has long admired the Sea Devils and when the chance came to buy the moulds he jumped at the opportunity.
