DICK EUSSEN AND MATES ESCAPE FOR THEIR ANNUAL FISHING TRIP TO THE COLEMAN/MITCHELL RIVER DELTA ON THE CAPE YORK PENINSULA'S LOWER WEST COAST.Alot of planning goes into an isolated wilderness trip when a week or more away from home is on the plan. This time there were some changes as some people had dropped out due to work. Still nine of us turned up at the truck stop on the Mulligan Highway,north of Mareeba at 5.30 am. The group included Allan and Dalma Leighton, Ian and Ann Leighton, Ben Leighton, Daniel Giblin, Jenny Leighton and her partner Tony Palumbo and yours truly. We all fitted in four vehicles, with three towing boats.
