IU'D has two world-class tobacco threshingplants in India's Southern State of Andhra Pradesh Chirala with three processing lines andAnaparti with one processing line. Tobacco Asia recently visited ILTD's Chirala plant to see firsthand how its unique design has changed the way Indian Leaf is being processed, and for the better... The main objective of a green leaf threshing plant is to improve the shelf life of tobacco from three months to three years and to meet customer's specifications in terms ofmoisture, particle size and temperature all of which play a vital role during the cigarette manufacturing process.
