Inkjet inks for fabric printing usually contain either a dye or a pigment as colourants. The most important requirement of pigmented inks is the pigment dispersion stability and performance over a wide range of conditions, temperatures and times.1 The binder of an inkjet ink may contain one or more polymer types to control the viscosity of the ink system, to promote droplet formation, and to serve as a binder for the colourant, providing adhesion to the printing surface by the formation of a localised film.
