Effects of surface coatings on the mechanical properties of wood-wool cement board

Wood-wool cement board (WWCB) is an inorganic-bonded wood composite composed of shredded wood and a hydraulic binder such as ordianry Portland cement (OPC).WWCB was first commercialised in the early 1900s [1],[2] and it has gained general acceptance as a nonstructural construction material due to its excellent acoustic and heat insulating properties and high resistance to water,fungi,termites and fire.
