As is the usual practice, the Past Chairmen's Dinner was held in October at the Geebung Polo Club, with attendees catching up with past associates and friends. Rebecca Lee welcomed everyone to the dinner and then several people gave the audience a review of the past year's activities. Peter Twaddle spoke about the SCAA Education programs, in particular e-leaming; Peter Funnell reviewed the year's social events. Rebecca gave an update on the recent SCAA Conference, and outlined the 2014 event which is to be held in Melbourne at the Novotel Hotel in St.Kilda. Anthony Martini presented on the new direction for the SCAA Publications, this being 6 bimonthly copies of the SCA Journal in hard copy, and monthly electronic newsletters sent to members via email. Ken Lofhelm gave a report on Council activities. Ken then presented the President's Medal to Crom Bray in recognition of Crom's long and dedicated service to SCAA, which the audience enthusiastically supported with long and well deserved applause. Crom responded, regaling the audience with many amusing anecdotes, and closed by saying that he thoroughly enjoyed his involvement with SCAA and got a lot more out if it than he put in, and encouraged everyone to be active in the organization.
