Ken Le Lievre was born at Canterbury, an inner suburb of Melbourne, in 1923. His early school days however were at a small school at Oaklands in the Southern Riverina as his parents had become wheat I sheep farmers. The family later moved and Ken completed his secondary education at Corowa High School in NSW.
