Specialty titanium chemicals, notably titanium oxychloride and titanyl sulfate, are produced as "side-streams" at the company's pigment plants. Both titanium oxychloride and titanyl sulfate are used for making pearlescent pigments. Titanium oxychloride is also used for making electroceramic capacitors for mobile/cellphones.
