RIO TINTO: First Rise in Slag Output Since Q1 2014, With an Even Bigger Rise in Sales

Total reserves (as at end-2015) are: 1.765 billion tonnes (2.3% Ti minerals, 0.3% zircon) for RBM and 469 million tonnes (3.5% Ti minerals, 0.2% zircon) for QMM. In Canada, RTFT's total probable reserves represent 95.6 million tonnes of titanium minerals. In terms of Rio Tinto's attributable share (74% in the case of RBM, 80% in the case of QMM and 100% in the case of RTFT), total ore reserves are equivalent to 56.9 million tonnes of marketable slag and 3.7 million tonnes of zircon.
