DuPont Will Spin Off Peformance Chemicals Business as Chemours Co. Next July

Forget about last Summer's fantasy of an amalgamation of the TiO2 businesses of DuPont and Tronox! (See TiO2 Worldwide Update, Year: 2014, Vol.22, no.2, page 1). DuPont remains on course to spin off its Performance Chemicals business as an independent entity in July 2015. On 18 December, DuPont confirmed that the spin-off company's name will be Chemours Co., to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker-code CC. The Form 10 initial registration statement for Chemours - showing historical pro forma financial results - has been filed with the US Securities & Exchange Commission.
