MASTERBATCH: Clariant's Expansions Should Raise Its Market Share Beyond 10%

Clariant AG (headquartered in Muttenz, about 6 km southeast of Basel city-centre) plans to build a new plastics masterbatch plant on a 1.6 hectares site in the Konstantynow Lodzki special economic zone on the outskirts of Lodz in central Poland. The plant should come on-stream in early 2014. Capital expenditure budgetted for this project is of the order of ?uros 9 million. When the Lodz plant is up and running, Clariant will shut down a smaller masterbatch plant at Zgierz (about 12 km north of Lodz).
