BEMAX: Profits from Murray Basin Outweigh Losses in Western Australia

Bemax Resources (headquartered in Brisbane. Australia) was founded in the late 1980s and less than 10 years ago it was still a junior exploration company. Today, it is one of the world's top five producers of TiO2 feedstocks and a wholly-owned subsidiary within the Cristal Global group. Last year, it produced over 70,000 tonnes of rutile and more than 250,000 tonnes of marketable ilmenite from operations in Western Australia and in the Murray Basin region. The company also sold about 65,000 tonnes of zircon, representing a 5% global market share.
