Missouri dealers fundraising for Joplin tornado victims

ST. CHARLES, Mo.—The Missouri Tire Industry Association's (MTIA) board of directors has created the MTIA Joplin Tornado Relief Fund and is raising money to benefit tire dealership victims of the destructive May 22 Joplin twister. The association said it has identified six families from four member companies who were devastated by the storm and plans to assist these families in rebuilding their lives. It held its western chapter charity golf tournament June 7 and raised $2,200 for employees of Joplin tire dealers. Executive Director Ron Reiling said 48 players participated in the tournament.
