A*1126: a novel HLA-A11 variant identified by sequence-based typing method.

HLA-Allis commonly seen in oriental populations, most particularly Chinese and Thais populations. Here, we describe a new All variant found in Taiwan. The HLA-A*1126 specimen was sent to Mackay Memorial Hospital by a local cord blood bank as the use of reverse-line sequence-specific oligonucleo'tide (SSO) typing (Dynal Biotech, Brombrough, Wirral, UK) did not produce a pattern that exactly matched any known alleles.
