General Review Of Silicon Metal In 2004 And Its Outlook For New Year

It seems that the Central Government of China judged a necessity to continue the system to treat favorably for exports of silicon metal produced in China. Chinese Government has revised their export tax rebates from the 1st January of 2005. According to this revision, export tax rebates for 13 ferro-alloys, aluminum metal, aluminum alloys, ferro-phosphorus and calcium carbide, totaling to 17 commodities, were revoked wholly. This revocation has been understood as the treatment to give priority to the demand for these commodities from domestic market rather than its exports.
