The output of crude stainless steel at each works of major stainless steel companies in Japan in the calendar year ( January - December ) of 2003 had been referred to the tables (1) and (2) attached hereto. The averaged output of crude stainless steel at major mills in 2003 had expanded by 8.5 percent compared to that in 2002. This expansion of the production in 2003 had been contributed by the matters, which the exports of stainless steel products from Japan in 2003 had been kept on a high level and the demand for stainless steel from domestic market of Japan had recovered to a certain extent in 2003.
