China's Wuhan Iron and Steel Group (Wugang) has announced a new discovery of 14.12 million tons of ore reserve at Daye Iron Mine, a representative iron ore mine in Huangshi city, Hubei Province. Steep and remarkable reductions in mineral resource and extraction are endangering Daye Iron Mines. The discovery was made through preliminary explorations on underground substitute resource it has been conducting since March 2005 when the government approved its official support.
