Russian producers of low carbon ferro-chrome targeted in December of last year to sell low carbon material with carbon 0.1 percent at 70 US-Cents per lb. but are now supposed to have changed to rise its price to 80 US-Cents per lb. from January of 2004. The net price of high carbon ferro-chrome ( charge chrome ) to be shipped to Europe in January - March quarter of 2004 has been settled at 56 US-Cents per lb. by a rise of 7 US-Cents per lb. from that for the previous quarter ( October - December 2003 ) and, consequently, a differential of prices between low carbon material and high carbon material has been narrowed. Therefore, it is becoming less meaning for enterprise to produce low carbon ferro-chrome.
