CVRD To Actively Carry Forward Iron Ore Business Expansions

The total budget for capital investment in projects related to iron ore, as per the January 26 announcement of CVRD, is 1.475 billion US dollars that represents 48 percent of CVRD's total planned capex on projects. Of this amount, 769 million US dollars is allocated to iron ore projects per se, and 374 million US dollars to projects in pellets. The Company's projects with the largest planned capex this year are Itabiritos (338 million US dollars), Carajas (330 million US dollars) and Brucutu (310 million US dollars).
