Nippon Denko Reports Consolidated Results For Interim Term Of FY 2006

Nippon Denko released on the 24th of August their consolidated settlement of accounts for the interim term (January - June) of the financial year of 2006 and a revised forecast of business results for the financial year (January - December) of 2006. According to this report, the consolidated financial results for the interim term of 2006 were turnover: Yen 31,584 million (compared with Yen 34,783 million for the same period of 2005), ordinary profit : Yen 1,114 million (compared to Yen 5,450 million for the same period of 2005) and net profit : Yen 629 million (compared with Yen 3,212 million for the same period of 2005). When these financial results for the first half (January - June) of 2006 are compared with those for the same period of 2005, turnover : decreased by 9.2 percent, ordinary profit : decreased by 79.6 percent and net profit : decreased by 80.4 percent.
