Cascades Inc. reports net earnings for the three months ended Sept. 30 of $0.35 per share ($34 million Canadian) compared to a net loss of $0.07 per share ($7 million) in the third quarter of 2008. Operating income before depreciation and net earnings excluding specific items increased significantly to respectively $127 million and $35 million in the third quarter of 2009 compared to $88 million and $6 million in the same period in 2008.
