As America's political leaders settle in for an autumn of consequential battles covering annual spending, sequestration, debt-ceiling, immigration, farm policy and nutrition needs, I've placed a plea to the patron saint of modern conservatism for timely advice for today's leaders. His perspective on the issues of the day is quite illuminating.
