The method involves transmitting a set of control data between a multimedia receiver (2) and a firmware-server (6) via two bidirectional control channels (8a, 8b) and a mobile telephone (7) based on the multimedia receiver. A set of update information are supplied as utilization data from the firmware-server to the multimedia receiver via third and fourth channels (5, 3) and a transmitter (4). A satellite is arranged as the transmitter, and a bidirectional Bluetooth-channel is arranged as the bidirectional control channel (8a).
