'Radio-Active' Learning: Visual Representation of Radioactive Decay Using Dice

The idea of using a dice game to simulate radio-active decay is not new.~1However, modern pedagogyencourages, if not requires, us to provide multiple rep-resentations and visualizations~2for our students. The advan-tage of interactive engagement methods also has been madeclear.3 Here we describe a highly visual and interactive use ofdice to develop student understanding of radioactive decay.
