Akzo Nobel Receives Approval for Its Fertility Product

On November 3rd,2005 Akzo Nobel's human healthcare business,Organon,has received approval for its Puregon ~R solution fertility product from the Chinese State Food and Drug Administration.Already a success in key markets all over the world,Puregon-a recombinant follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)-is now licensed in China for ovulation induction and controlled ovarian hyper-stimulation when used in assisted reproductive technologies such as in-vitro fertilization(IVF).
