Drastic consumption increase of oil The global oil supply shortage led to a sustained price rise of crude oil in the international market in 2004.With the oil price rise in the international market,the oil consumption in China made a drastic increase.According to the statistics made by the State Statistical Bureau,the processing amount of crude oil in China was 273 million tons in 2004,an increase of 13.7% over the previous year.
